Drew Aaron–Entrepreneur, Art Collector, and Founder of Gallery RED & Lionsgate Capital

Drew Aaron is a globally recognized serial entrepreneur, investor, and art collector. He is the founder of Gallery RED, the largest contemporary art gallery in Spain and Lionsgate Capital, the top luxury financing firm. 

Aaron was born in Philadelphia and attended The Hill School. He later graduated from Boston University with a degree in Corporate Communications and Business Economics.

Drew Aaron's core business has been trading paper as a commodity. He and Gene Aaron created the Aaron Group of Companies in 2000. The Aaron Group of Companies is an international privately held paper brokerage firm that consists of various independent paper distributors. During Drew Aaron's tenure, the company merged from two existing firms into one international conglomerate, becoming the largest privately held paper company in the world. In 2017, Konica Minolta strategically partnered with The Aaron Group of Companies for international paper sourcing and distribution. The company still maintains the name and has offices together on six continents worldwide with Indicia Worldwide.

Simultaneously, Aaron has been involved in the luxury real estate market, purchasing off-market properties in New York City, the Hamptons, and Connecticut. This includes penthouses in New York City's tallest buildings. Drew purchased and restored North Court in Greenwich, later selling it for US$22 million, US$2 million above the asking price. He subsequently purchased Seagram's Creek, the former home of Seagram's CEO and billionaire Edgar Bronfman Sr.

While in New York, Aaron created The Aaron Gallery, focusing on art advisory and placing high-end contemporary art in different collections. The Aaron Gallery served as the art partner for the SoHo concept store Material Good NY. The entrepreneur served as CEO for various design, real estate development, and architecture firms including Marc Cunningham Inc. and Studio Dror, overseeing high-end real estate development on large-scale residential and commercial projects in the US, Europe, and Asia.

Upon moving to Mallorca, Aaron created Lionsgate Capital, which is now the largest financing firm in the country of Spain.

Seeking a lifestyle change, Drew relocated to Mallorca, Spain, in 2017 to raise his children in the countryside. Aaron purchased Turmalina, a renowned home in the heart of the Tramuntana mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Originally built by the Swarovski family, Aaron meticulously restored the estate, later selling it for a record price on the island. Aaron’s latest acquisition in Mallorca was S’Atalaya, located in Valdemossa on Mallorca’s west coast, and considered one of the most historically significant homes in the region, dating back to the 12th century. He also maintains a family home in Son Vida, located outside of Palma.

In 2017, he founded Lionsgate Capital, now Spain's largest financing firm for luxury real estate. In 2018, Aaron founded Gallery RED, a contemporary art gallery based in Palma de Mallorca. Drew launched Gallery RED in 2018. The gallery expanded rapidly, growing to 10 gallery spaces and 18 exhibition spaces across Spain, including curated installations at the private airports in Mallorca and Ibiza, as well as at the island’s premier 5-star hotels and properties. Today, Gallery RED is the largest contemporary art gallery in Spain and represents innovation and accessibility.

Gallery RED represents top emerging global artists alongside established blue-chip names, including Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Gerhart Richter, Yayoi Kusama, George Condo, and Pablo Picasso.

Aaron has three children with Czech supermodel Hana Soukupová. He divides his time between Spain, Paris and the United States.

Modern Painters Magazine included Aaron among the top 50 under 50 art collectors in the world. His homes and art collections have been featured in prestigious international publications, including Architectural Digest, The Wall Street Journal, and Elle Decor.

A passionate philanthropist and community leader, Drew has held board and executive committee roles for organizations including the ASPCA, The Whitney Museum, FSC Council, DKMS, Unlock the Cure, New Yorkers for Children, and YPO Metro New York. In 2021, Aaron received an award from IE Business School in Madrid in recognition of his entrepreneurial achievements and for bringing innovation to Spain. In 2022, Drew became a member of the Board of Directors of the Mallorca Preservation Foundation, the largest sustainability organization in the Balearic Islands.

In 2025, Drew Aaron became Chairman of PoE Arts & Culture, an international organization consisting of more than 150 C-level executives consulting on top global initiatives. He also serves as Chairman of Supernature Labs, an international bio-planning organization devoted to creating the most ecological prominent cities. He is also a member of the Executive Committee of Barnes International Real Estate worldwide.

In 2026, Aaron announced the opening of 199 Paris, an exclusive, invitation-only, large-scale private museum showcasing some of the world’s finest works of art and design from the 20th and 21st centuries.
